SvS Alliance Preparation Guide

Our plan is simple: get into position early, protect our members, reinforce the players in the mud, and avoid giving the enemy easy targets.

Strong Members Take assigned mud positions, hold them, call for RF, and be ready to fight.
Everyone Else Position close to the mud, keep your shield active, and stay ready to support.
RF Matters Keep our frontline HQs reinforced throughout the fighting.
Before SvS Starts

Do not wait until the fighting starts before moving. We want our alliance positioned near the Capital area in plenty of time.

  • Heal your troops
  • Clear as much hospital space as possible
  • Make sure you have teleports
  • Make sure you have enough shields
  • Check your strongest formation
  • Keep healing speedups available
  • Watch alliance chat for positioning instructions
Where We Position

Mud

The mud is for our stronger members who are prepared to be attacked.

If you are asked to take a mud position, get there early and hold your space.

Outside the Mud

Everyone else should position as close to the mud as possible on normal ground where shields can be used.

The closer you are, the faster you can reinforce our members in the mud.

Who Should Go Into the Mud?

Our stronger HQs should take the mud positions. These members need to be able to:

  • Take repeated attacks
  • Heal quickly
  • Keep an eye on their HQ
  • Call for reinforcement
  • Fight when required
  • Stay active during the battle
If you are not confident that you can survive repeated attacks, do not move into the mud unless asked. It is much more useful to remain protected and reinforce someone else.
Pack the Mud Tightly

When our members move into the mud, stay close together and avoid unnecessary gaps between HQs.

If one of our members has to leave their position, tell alliance chat first. Where possible, another member should be ready to take the space.

Do not casually teleport away from the mud and leave a large empty gap.
Everyone Else Should Shield

If you are outside the mud, keep your shield active.

  • Do not wait until the enemy arrives before shielding
  • If you are going offline, make sure your shield lasts long enough
  • If there is any doubt, shield
An unshielded member outside the mud can become easy SvS points for the enemy.
Stay Close to the Mud

Do not stay back at our normal alliance hive unless instructed.

Members who are shielding should still move close to the fighting area. This gives us much shorter reinforcement times.

Strong members in the mud. Shielded alliance members immediately outside. The whole alliance supports the players taking the hits.
RF Our Members in the Mud

Reinforcement is one of our most important jobs.

If you are shielded outside the mud, be ready to reinforce our members inside it.

If someone calls for RF, send it quickly.

RF priority:

  1. An alliance member currently being attacked
  2. One of our strongest members holding a mud position
  3. A member taking repeated enemy attacks
  4. A member specifically asking for RF in alliance chat

If an R4 or R5 gives a different instruction, follow that instruction.

Call for RF Early

If you are in the mud and start taking attacks, say so immediately. Keep the message short and obvious.

RF FRITZELLY FRITZELLY BEING HIT - RF NOW
Do not wait until your troops are already badly depleted before asking.
Keep RF Full

If you are reinforcing someone, check whether your troops are still there and whether they are still healthy.

  • Recall if necessary
  • Heal
  • Refill the formation
  • Send it back

We want our mud players reinforced throughout the fighting, not just at the beginning.

Do Not Send Useless RF

Try to send a useful formation. Your strongest available formation will normally provide the best support, but keep watching alliance chat in case you need it for another job.

Do not fill someone's reinforcement capacity with extremely weak troops if stronger members are trying to reinforce them.
If You Are Being Attacked
  1. Call for RF
  2. Keep watching incoming attacks
  3. Heal where necessary
  4. Tell alliance chat if you are struggling
  5. Do not teleport away without warning if you can avoid it

The rest of us should react quickly when one of our members calls for help.

If You Cannot Hold Your Mud Position

Tell alliance chat. It is better for us to know and replace you than for you to be repeatedly hit until you are emptied.

Where possible, the replacement is ready first, then you leave.
Lower Power Members Are Still Important

You do not have to be one of our strongest players to contribute.

  • Shield
  • Position close to the mud
  • Reinforce stronger members
  • Fill space outside the mud
  • Watch alliance chat
  • Help replace positions if instructed
You do not need to attack enemy whales to help the alliance.
Do Not Feed the Enemy Points
If you are not fighting:
Shield.
If you are going offline:
Shield.
If you cannot survive in the mud:
Shield and RF.
If you are unsure:
Stay protected and watch alliance chat.
Do Not Chase Random Enemies

Stay focused on what our alliance is doing. Do not teleport across the map chasing individual enemy HQs unless there is a good reason.

Doing that can take you away from our group, leave a gap, increase reinforcement times, leave our mud players unsupported, or put you somewhere difficult to defend.

Stay close and work together.
Watch Alliance Chat

During SvS, alliance chat matters. Watch for:

  • RF requests
  • Movement instructions
  • Shield reminders
  • Enemy warnings
  • Calls to attack
  • Calls to stop attacking
  • Position replacements

If an R4 or R5 gives an instruction, follow it quickly.

Farms

If we decide to bring farms into the Capital area, they should remain shielded.

Their role is not to fight. They can help us occupy space and remain close enough to support the main alliance if needed.

Do not bring an unshielded farm into the battle area.
Shield Before Going Offline

Before logging off during SvS, check your shield.

Do not assume an existing shield has enough time left. Look at the remaining duration and make sure it covers the period you will be away.

If necessary, use a longer shield.

Do not wander off.
Do not leave gaps unnecessarily.
Do not sit unshielded.
Do not leave our mud players fighting alone.

Stay together and make the alliance difficult to break.
